Community

We believe that no one should have to face grief alone. One of the most difficult consequences of loss is the overwhelming sense of isolation it can bring.
That is why we are building a strong community of mothers and children united by shared experiences. A community where people can be with others who understand without the need for explanation. A place where remembrance, support, joy, and new purpose can exist side by side. Our community is a space where pain is not denied, but gradually woven into life. Within the Soborna Ukraine community, there is no need to explain why certain dates are especially difficult or why some memories still hurt. Here, those experiences are understood without words. This shared understanding fosters a sense of belonging and reconnection with the world. For many children, this is where their first friendships begin. These relationships often continue long after the Foundation's programs end and become an important part of the healing process.

Our Approaches
Our community brings together families with shared experiences so they can find understanding, encouragement, and the reassurance that they are not alone.
Each family chooses how and when to take part in the Foundation's programs and activities, based on their own needs, capacity, and readiness.
We create a safe space where people can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment.
We support memorialization as a meaningful way of honoring the memory of fallen Ukrainian defenders through shared traditions and community events that help preserve their legacy for future generations.
