February 8, 2025Psychological Support

On 8 February, the psychologists of Soborna Ukraine held the first support group of 2025 for mothers and children from the families of fallen Ukrainian defenders.

Families from across Ukraine gathered in a welcoming space in central Kyiv to spend the day with people who share similar experiences, find support, share their feelings, and be reminded that they are not alone.

This meeting marked the beginning of a new series of support groups that will now take place on a regular basis. Every two months, mothers and children will have the opportunity to reconnect, build new relationships, receive psychological support, and spend time in a space where they can be heard without having to explain their experiences.

The support groups are part of Soborna Ukraine Foundation's Psychological Support Program. During each meeting, children and adults participate in separate sessions led by mental health professionals. These gatherings help participants maintain their emotional well-being, develop self-care skills, strengthen their resilience, and foster a sense of safety through a community of people who truly understand one another.

We sincerely thank all of our partners who helped make this meeting possible, especially Osvitoria and Osvitoria Hub for generously providing the venue, as well as everyone who contributed to creating a day filled with care and support for our families.
